Auditions!
Auditions for seating within sections of the Symphonic Band will happen during the month of September and the first couple of weeks in October. Requirements are to perform 3 major scales (chosen by luck – each student picks an index card which has three scales and a chromatic), selected sight-reading, and a prepared solo. Scores are marked on Tone, Intonation, Accuracy, and Musicianship.
Total Possible Score – 120
Maximum Point per category: Solo - 40, Scales – 40, and Sightreading – 40
you should post the scores-so we can compare them to ourselves and see what the “competition” got.
An it wasnt all just based on luck. It was also based on how hard they tried in their auditions.
